E-Learning Platforms used in HETC

The objective of e-learning is to make education accessible, flexible and effective using digital technologies. It aims to provide learning opportunities that are convenient, personalized, and cost-effective. E-learning promotes collaboration, interaction, and continuous skill development while leveraging technology to enhance the learning experience. Online learning is paperless, clean, user-friendly and anyone from anywhere can participate.

  • FOSS in collaboration with IIT, Mumbai
  • Platforms for MOOCs: The institution provides access to various e-learning platforms, including SWAYAM-NPTEL, Coursera, and edX. Coursera and edX
  • AICTE Parakh: The institution implements the AICTE Parakh initiative, which aims to bridge the gap between academia and industry, foster innovation, and entrepreneurship, and enhance the overall quality of technical education in India.
  •  IIRS -ISRO: IIRS conducts outreach programs, online courses, webinars, and workshops in remote sensing, GIS, and geospatial data management.
  • Internshala: Internshala connects B. Tech students with internship opportunities across industries, helping them gain practical work experience, develop skills, and explore career paths.
  • EduSkills:  EduSkills provides customized corporate agreements, boosts accreditation and offers “Industry Center of Excellence” logos. Students gain virtual internships, flexible learning, certifications and job opportunities while Faculties receive Master Trainer IDs and development program access.

NDLI: HETC is a member of NDLI and DELNET which enables users to access e-resources like e-books, e-journals, e-articles and video lectures etc.

Google Classroom: Google Classroom is a free online learning management system that facilitates virtual classrooms, assignment distribution, discussions, feedback and resource sharing between educators and students.

Free Yoga and Self-Defence Sessions for all students

Hooghly Engineering & Technology College (HETC) aims to provide students with not only regular curricular activities but also the opportunity to improve their flexibility, strength, and balance through yoga practice, as well as learn effective self-defense techniques to protect themselves in difficult situations. Our ultimate goal is to create a safe and supportive environment for individuals to cultivate a strong mind-body connection promoting a sense of empowerment, confidence and enhance their overall quality of life.
